Congratulations to all our Scholarship winners!!
This year we had the most scholarship applicants ever! We were able to award 8 scholarships overall and are very proud of all the recipients. Five recipients were either graduating seniors or current college students and the other three were military spouses. Congrats again and best of luck in the Fall!!

Elections for next year's FRG Board
Do you have some spare time and have a desire to do something to benefit your Family Readiness Group? Do you work well with others and want to get to know new people? We're looking for a few good spouses to join us for the upcoming 2010-2011 board term. All positions will be open, but key spots we are looking to fill will during the yard period will be for President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Scholarship Chair. See the attached files below for our Letter of Intent (required to apply for a board position) and our position descriptions. Please drop us a line if you have any questions. Compass Classes
Do you want to know more about military life? Are you interested in meeting other Navy Spouses? Would you like to know more about the Navy resources available to you?
COMPASS is a spouse-to-spouse mentoring program that introduces participants to all aspects of the military lifestyle. COMPASS offers military spouses the opportunity to establish a peer network, aquire knowledge and develop skills necessary to successfully meet future challenges of military life.

According to the US Post office website, the maximum length of a package in any category is 72 inches. The website states, " While there are specific restrictions for each five-digit military (APO/FPO) Post Office area, generally speaking, it is prohibited to mail the following:
*obscene articles (pictures, paintings, cards, films, videotapes, etc.)*
*any matter depicting nude or seminude persons, pornographic or sexual items, or non-authorized political materials*
For specific restrictions to an APO /FPO location, you can call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) or consult your local Post Office.
